Step-by-step
Make a fresh local backup in official WhatsApp
Open the official WhatsApp → Settings → Chats → Chat backup → Back Up. This writes a backup to /storage/emulated/0/WhatsApp/Databases/.
Copy the WhatsApp Databases folder
Open a file manager. Navigate to /storage/emulated/0/WhatsApp/. Copy the entire Databases folder (and Media if you want media to carry over).
Paste into the GB WhatsApp Pro folder
Paste the Databases folder into /storage/emulated/0/GBWhatsApp/. If a GBWhatsApp folder doesn't exist yet, create it. The path must match exactly.
Install GB WhatsApp Pro (if not already)
Download the APK from gbwhatts.pro and install. Do NOT open the app yet.
First launch — restore from the moved backup
Open GB WhatsApp Pro. Accept Terms, enter the same phone number, OTP-verify. When prompted to restore, tap Restore. Your chats from the official WhatsApp appear in GB WhatsApp Pro.

Tips & pitfalls
- 1 You can keep the official WhatsApp installed alongside GB WhatsApp Pro if you use two numbers.
- 2 The transfer is one-way at this point — future chats only sync within whichever app you actively use.
- 3 If you skip the Media folder copy, attachments still work but you lose the historical media cache.
