GB WhatsApp for iPhone & iPad

Honest answer up front: there is no native iOS build of GB WhatsApp Pro, and there never will be while Apple's sandboxing rules stand. Any website offering a "GB WhatsApp .ipa" is either hosting malware or running an Apple Developer-account scam. We don't ship one.

What does work: two legitimate workaround paths that get you 80% of the functionality on an iPhone or iPad. Both are documented below. Both are free. Both keep your chats on the same WhatsApp server.

The honest answer

Why there is no native GB WhatsApp for iOS

Reason 1 · iOS sandboxing

iOS only installs signed apps from the App Store (or via TestFlight / enterprise distribution with a paid Apple Developer account). There is no equivalent of Android's "install unknown apps" toggle. APKs literally cannot run on iOS — they target a different runtime (ART, not the iOS Objective-C / Swift runtime).

Reason 2 · App Store policy

Apple's App Store Review Guidelines explicitly forbid apps that modify, wrap, or extend other apps. Even if someone wrote a native iOS version of GB WhatsApp from scratch, it would be rejected at review. Meta would also enforce against it. There is no realistic path to ship a native build.

Workaround 1 · ~10 minutes

Run GB WhatsApp Pro on a Mac, mirror to iPhone

Best path if you already own a Mac. You run the real GB WhatsApp Pro v18.80 APK inside a BlueStacks Air Android emulator on the Mac, then pair the iPhone via WhatsApp Web. The Mac holds the session; the iPhone reads it.

Install BlueStacks Air on your Mac

Download BlueStacks Air from bluestacks.com — it runs on both Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) and Intel Macs. The installer is about 800 MB; install takes 3-4 minutes on SSD.

Install GB WhatsApp Pro v18.80 inside BlueStacks

Drag the GB WhatsApp Pro APK onto the BlueStacks Air window. The emulator imports the APK in 5-10 seconds and adds the app to its home screen.

Sign in with a phone number

Open the app inside the emulator, enter your phone number with country code, receive the OTP on the SIM-holding device, type it in. You now have a fully functional GB WhatsApp Pro install on your Mac.

Mirror it to your iPhone via GB WhatsApp Web

Inside the Mac emulator: Menu → GBSettings → Linked devices → Link a device. On the iPhone, open Safari and go to web.whatsapp.com — point the iPhone camera at the Mac screen, scan the QR. Chats now mirror to Safari on the iPhone.

Workaround 2 · ~5 minutes

Use an Android relay, read on the iPhone

Best path if you don't have a Mac. An old Android phone (or even a friend's spare) becomes the relay — it runs GB WhatsApp Pro for real. The iPhone reads the chats via Safari + WhatsApp Web. Five steps; the iPhone never installs anything.

Use a secondary Android device or emulator

You need a host running the real GB WhatsApp Pro APK. This can be an old Android phone you keep at home, a tablet, or a desktop emulator (BlueStacks / LDPlayer). The iPhone never installs anything.

Sign in to GB WhatsApp Pro on the relay device

Standard install flow — phone number, OTP, restore from local backup if you have one. This relay is what holds the WhatsApp session.

    Open Safari on your iPhone

Browse to web.whatsapp.com on the iPhone. A QR appears.

Pair the iPhone with the relay device

On the relay, open Menu → GBSettings → Linked devices → Link a device. Scan the QR shown on the iPhone Safari tab. Chats appear in Safari within 2 seconds.

Bookmark the page on iPhone home screen

Safari → Share → "Add to Home Screen". This gives you a tappable icon on the iPhone home screen that opens straight into the WhatsApp Web session — visually indistinguishable from a real app.

Warning

Fake "GB WhatsApp .ipa" sites are scams

In 2026 there are at least 40 sites advertising a "GB WhatsApp for iPhone .ipa download". None of them are legitimate. The pattern is always one of three flavours, and all three end with you losing data, money or both.

  • Trick 1 · Apple Developer account scam. Site asks you to log in with your Apple ID to "sideload" the app. They keep your credentials. Two-factor auth is the only protection.
  • Trick 2 · "Verify human" survey loop. Endless CAPTCHA + survey + premium SMS subscription gate. No file ever downloads. You burn 20 minutes and end up paying $5/week to a shady SMS billing service.
  • Trick 3 · Configuration profile install. Pushes a malicious iOS configuration profile that hands them MDM (mobile device management) control over your iPhone — they can read SMS, install apps, push notifications.

The rule: if a site claims to have a direct GB WhatsApp for iOS install, close the tab. The only paths that work are the two workarounds above.

iPad section

GB WhatsApp for iPad

iPad shares iOS's sandbox — no APK install. The Safari + WhatsApp Web path from Workaround 2 works identically on iPad, and Stage Manager on iPad Pro M-series makes it surprisingly usable as a chat workhorse.

    Open Safari on the iPad

iPad uses the same iOS sandboxing — no APK install. Open Safari and head to web.whatsapp.com.

    Pair with your Android relay

On the Android device running GB WhatsApp Pro: Menu → GBSettings → Linked devices → Link a device. Scan the QR shown on the iPad Safari tab.

Use Stage Manager (iPad Pro M-series)

On iPad Pro M-series, Stage Manager lets you run GB WhatsApp Web side-by-side with Mail, Notes or a video call. The split-screen layout is surprisingly productive for text-heavy work.

    Add to Home Screen

Safari → Share → "Add to Home Screen". A WhatsApp-Web icon appears on the iPad home screen; tap to launch full-screen without the Safari URL bar.

Same trick works on Apple TV via AirPlay-mirrored Safari — useful for shared family screens.

Honest comparison

What you lose by reading from iPhone vs running on Android

The iPhone workarounds let you read and reply but they sacrifice some of the features that make GB WhatsApp Pro interesting in the first place. Here is the full list of trade-offs.

GB WhatsApp Pro feature On iPhone (Web)
Ghost Mode (one-tap) Limited
4,000+ themes Limited
Anti-delete messages Limited
Status download Limited
Push notifications Limited
1 GB attachments Limited

Bottom line: if GB WhatsApp Pro's killer features matter to you, the Mac/relay device is where they actually run. The iPhone becomes a polished reader window into that session. For the full experience, the right call is to get any cheap Android phone, install GB WhatsApp Pro on it, and pair from there.
