How to disable Play Protect warnings for GB WhatsApp Pro
Google Play Protect scans every sideloaded APK and flags GB WhatsApp Pro as "unrecognised" because it's not from Play Store. Here is how to skip the warning on install and (optionally) whitelist the app for permanent peace.
Tools required
- Android phone with Google Play Services
Supplies
- Trust in the APK source (only install from gbwhatts.pro)

Step-by-step
On the install warning — tap "Install anyway"
When Play Protect blocks the install with "Blocked by Play Protect — Play Protect doesn't recognise this app", look for the small "Install anyway" link at the bottom of the dialog. Tap it. This is a one-time skip per APK.
Disable Play Protect scanning (optional)
Open Play Store → tap your profile picture → Play Protect → gear icon (top right) → toggle OFF "Scan apps with Play Protect". This stops scans entirely — only do this if you trust your install habits.
Re-enable Play Protect after install
Once GB WhatsApp Pro is installed and verified, you can flip Play Protect back ON. It will keep scanning future installs but leave GB WhatsApp Pro alone (until you next update — repeat the "Install anyway" tap then).

Tips & pitfalls
- 1 Play Protect warnings are NOT proof of malware — they fire on every sideloaded APK regardless of safety.
- 2 Always cross-check the SHA-256 of the APK before tapping "Install anyway". The hash is published on this site.
- 3 Permanent Play Protect-off is fine if you only install APKs from trusted sources. Leave it on otherwise.
