10 GB WhatsApp Pro privacy features that change how you message

WhatsApp's stock privacy panel has six toggles. GB WhatsApp Pro's has more than thirty. Most users never explore past the first few. Here are the ten that change daily messaging the most — what they do, where the toggle lives, and what stock WhatsApp will not give you.

1. Ghost Mode

A single switch that turns off every "I am here" signal at once: online status, last seen, typing indicator, recording indicator, blue ticks. Lives on the main chat list (top-right area in v18.80) for one-tap access. Stock WhatsApp requires you to flip 5 separate toggles.

2. Freeze last seen

Pin your last-seen timestamp to a moment you choose. Even while you actively use the app, contacts see your last seen as "2 hours ago" or whatever you set. Different from stock's hide-all option because you still look reachable. GBSettings → Privacy → Freeze last seen.

3. Hide blue ticks (one-way)

On stock WhatsApp, turning off your blue ticks also turns off your ability to see others'. GB WhatsApp Pro breaks that symmetry — your ticks stay hidden, you still see read receipts from contacts. GBSettings → Privacy → Hide blue ticks.

4. Anti-delete messages

When a contact taps "Delete for everyone", the message normally disappears from your chat. GB WhatsApp Pro keeps a local copy and shows a small "recalled" label. Same logic for statuses. GBSettings → Privacy → Anti-delete messages and Anti-delete statuses.

5. App lock (PIN / fingerprint)

PIN, pattern or fingerprint lock built into the app — survives reboots and updates. No third-party locker app required. GBSettings → Privacy → App lock.

6. Per-chat lock

Lock specific chats independently from the app-wide lock. Useful when you share a phone but still want certain conversations private. Open the chat → menu → Lock chat.

7. Hide status viewer

View any contact's status without your name appearing in their viewers list. GBSettings → Privacy → Hide status view.

8. Remove the "Forwarded" tag

Forward a message without the "Forwarded" badge appearing on the receiver side. GBSettings → Privacy → Remove forwarded tag.

9. Hidden media folder

Keep received photos and videos out of your phone gallery. Files remain inside the chat but excluded from the device media scanner. Per-chat toggle. Open chat → menu → Hide media.

10. Custom launcher icon

Disguise the app icon on your home screen. Useful extra-privacy layer on shared phones. Settings → Universal → Launcher icon.
